 Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD)
Description
Painful, burning, numb sensation with skin discoloration and temperature changes
 
Cause:
Injury (trauma, stroke, diabetes, impingement) of the autonomic nervous system portion of  nerves
 
Treatment
Good candidate for Spinal Cord Stimulator
 
Example
Patient developed CRPS (=RSD) after suffering rotator cuff injury
CRPS in leg from poor circulation and vasculitis caused by diabetes
Radicular extremity pain from permanent nerve damage
